Check method of network packet

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for checking a network packet is provided to assign priorities to computer systems to be protected, and to determine checking degrees according to an operated state of system resources or a load of a current network while checking a packet, thereby firstly protecting a system having the highest priority. CONSTITUTION: Priorities are assigned to computer systems to be protected(S100). A load degree of an NIDS(Network Based Intrusion Detection System) is decided(S200). If the load degree is small, packets are checked in the order in which the packets are received(S400). If the load degree is severe, a packet having the fastest priority is firstly checked and the rest packets are checked in the order of speed(S300). The NIDS reads the packets from a network, and checks information on the packets.
