FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out ultrasonographic examination of the hip joint at the greater trochanter level with external edge of the iliac bone, cotyloid cavity, femoral head and its articulation surface outlines being visualized. Two mutually perpendicular lines are drawn on the ultrasonogram. X-axis is arranged along the external edge of the iliac bone and Y-axis intersects it at the superoexterior bone edge of the cotyloid cavity dividing the ultrasonogram into four quadrants. Conditional center of the femoral head is determined and hip joint dysplasia degree is diagnosed depending on conditional center and articulation surface outline disposition on quadrant plane. The conditional center of the femoral head belonging to inferointerior quadrant, normal state is to be diagnosed. The point belonging to the boundary separating the inferointerior and inferoexterior quadrants (of X-axis), dysplastic femur predislocation is to be diagnosed. The point belonging to the inferoexterior quadrant, dysplastic femur subluxation is to be diagnosed. Femur head articulation surface outline intersecting the boundary separating inferoexterior and superoexterior quadrants (of Y-axis), dysplastic femur dislocation is to be diagnosed. The conditional center of the femoral head belonging to the superoexterior quadrant, high dysplastic femur dislocation is to be diagnosed.;EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis; larger volume of data produced.;6 dwg
