TRANSPORTATION AND MOUNTING UNIT FOR VERTICAL COUPLING OF NOSE CONE WITH LAUNCH VEHICLE AND MOUNTING IT ON LAUNCHER

FIELD: ground equipment for launching positions of launch vehicles.;SUBSTANCE: proposed unit includes frame with hydraulic supports and motion mechanisms. This frame is articulated with cargo hoisting boom for placing and securing the launch vehicle. This boom is hoisted by means of hydraulic jack connected with supply and control hydraulic system. Twin brackets are secured on front part of boom made from two parallel beams located at distance exceeding the diameter of nose cone. Front pair of brackets is provided with swivel cargo hoisting cross-member equipped with cargo hoisting unit which is provided with remotely controlled cargo gripping unit for nose cone. Rear pair of brackets is provided with horizontal axles from which assembly platform is suspended in vertical plane (for coupling the nose cone with launch vehicle). Floor of assembly platform is provided with opening whose diameter exceeds diameter of launch vehicle. This opening is closed by swivel doors. Platform is provided with stop for locking it when boom is in vertical position.;EFFECT: facilitated procedure of assembly; enhanced reliability; ease of operation.;6 cl, 4 dwg
