FIELD: biotechnology, medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for isolation of bioactive fraction (BAF) containing essentially S-lipopolysaccharides (S-LPS) from endotoxic S-LPS producing gram-negative bacteria, useful in prophylaxis and therapy. From endotoxic S-LPS producing gram-negative bacteria BAF is isolated that has in lipid A S-LPS molar ratio of D-glucoseamine and -hydroxy acids selected from -hydroxydecanic, -hydroxydodecanic, -hydroxytetradecanic and -hydroxyhexadecanic acids of about 2:1-4, and molar ration of D-glucoseamine and high fatty acids connected via either amide or ester bond in lipid A S-LPS of about 2:3-7.
