In a process to convert a conventional low-temperature central heating system water boiler to a multi-boiler unit, the low-temperature unit is fitted with two motor exhaust flaps (3) and the individual chimneys (11) are linked with a gas guide-vane (14) into a single chimney (9). The single chimney is coupled to a heat exchanger (2) and a condensate drain (12) located after the flaps (3) discharges to a neutralisation station (13). Condensation arising in the heat exchanger (13) is discharged to the neutralisation unit. Having passed the heat exchanger, exhaust gases are discharged to the atmosphere.
