An equipment for reeling used doctor blades comprises a reeling device (10) provided with a support base (1), a support arm (2) and a shaft (9') mounted on the support arm. One end of shaft (9') is provided with boss (9) and other end shaft (9') is provided with revolving frame. The equipment also comprises a transit case (20) into which used doctor blades (12) are reeled on a roll. An independent claim is also included for method for handling doctor blades of paper/cardboard machine. The method involves supplying doctor blade raw material to doctor blade production plant, producing doctor blades and transporting the doctor blades to paper/cardboard plant to store the blades in that plant prior to use. The doctor blades are mounted in the paper/cardboard machine rolls and the conditions of the doctor blades are monitored during use and then the used doctor blades are removed from the machine. The used doctor blades are packed in storable form using reeling device. The stored doctor blades in the paper plant is transported and delivered for recycling, reuse and end use.
