Method for designing a technical system comprising a computer network in which: one or more performance values for the computer network are defined; one or more user-specific requirements of a dependent type for the computer and or data communications load of the technical system are defined; the performance values and computer and data communications load values for maintaining user-specific requirements are calculated and; the technical system is designed according so that user requirements are met. An independent claim is made for an arrangement for designing a technical system. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program product.
