A system with a charger (9) and a small electrical apparatus such as a toothbrush, electric hair cutter and, especially, a razor (10) comprises an accumulator (13) which sends a signal to the charger when fully charged. The charger comprises a control unit (8) which then switches from normal or fast charge to charge conservation. An independent claim is also included for a charging apparatus for the above system.
