The apparatus includes a membrane biosensor electrode region (M) forming a secondary substrate (20) and a vessel region (50). This is at least an internal region (50i) of the vessel or a part of it. The membrane biosensor electrode region (M) (or part of it) is especially a part (50b) of the vessel interior region (50b). The vessel has wall-, base- and closure regions. The base is or is part of the membrane biosensor or secondary carrier. Base and wall are unitary. In a variant they are joined by pressure, heat, bonding agent, adhesive or injection molding and are especially detachable. Supply and/or return(s) is/are provided, the latter arranged about the former, e.g. concentrically or uniformly distributed. Returns have lower flow resistance than the supply. Supply and/or returns have a counter-electrode arrangement. They are made of e.g. metals or metal derivatives. They are located in the vessel base, wall or closure.
