Communications method in which, in response to the receipt of an e-mail by a first terminal receiver unit (EC) of a user, a telephone connection is made between a second terminal receiver unit (ET) of the user and a sender terminal unit (ST) of the user who initially sent the e-mail. Making of the connection is controlled by the telecommunications website system (TCW) that delivered the e-mail. An independent claim is made for a communication environment for facilitating automatic response to an e-mail by making of a telephone connection between a terminal of the e-mail recipient and the a terminal of the e-mail sender.
