An assembly heats bulk asphalt aggregates and bonding additives for road construction. The assembly has a thermally insulated (I) cylindrical container (B) with an aperture in the top panel (D). The container encloses a drum-shaped heater chamber insert (E), whose base (BOE) is separated from that (BOB) of the cylindrical container (B), forming a heater chamber (H). The insert (E) sidewalls form an annular effluent air chamber (LK). The heater (H) chamber encloses a height-adjustable burner (BR). The insert (E) floor (BOE) has a mixer mechanism (R). A combined filling hopper and heating chamber (S) is positioned on the opening above the effluent air chamber (LK) and linked to the heating chamber (H). The mixer unit is driven by an external motor.
