Computer based method for determining the status of a social services client in which a first memory (M1) contains frequency asked questions (F1-Fn). Based on a client profile, matching responses (W(A1)-W(An)) are provided. A second memory (M2) contains a multiplicity of answer combinations and corresponding problems. An independent claim is made for a device for determining the status of a social services client.
