The air washer has a water tank, an air filter, and a blower. The filter consists of a thin air-permeable woven fabric, and is formed so as to float in the water when the blower is switched off, and is raised off the water surface by the air flow when the blower is switched on. Water tank and filter are a single integral unit consisting of a water-impermeable foil and a thin air-permeable fabric positioned on it. The edges of foil and fabric are connected to form a bag, with an upper or side opening for the blower. The filter is fabricated from a compostable bio-degradable material.
