The sound insulation element has a front and back side and upper and lower ties (20, 30) which are connected thereto through a folded connection. AT least one curved end section of the front and/or back side of the element is folded inbetween a folded web (22) and a base profile (21) of the upper and lower ties. Independent claim describes sound protective wall made up of such elements. Independent claim describes method for making element by extruding upper and lower ties to have a folded web whereby a bent end section of the element (40,50) is then inserted between the folded web and a base profile of the upper and lower tie and the web is then folded round onto the end section.
