A hair growth promoting composition (A) contains, as active agents, 1-((2-chlorophenyl)-diphenylmethyl)-1H-imidazole (clotrimazole) (I) and (E)-N-(6,6-dimethyl-2-hepten-4-ynyl)-N-methyl-1-naphthalene-methanamine (terbinafine) (II) (both optionally in salt form).
