The contact-less dry gas sealing for a rotary compressor has an axially movable sealing ring (GR) floating on a gas cushion and which prevents contact with the rotating component. The movable sealing ring lies in its axial guide gas tight only on one side, while the opposite axial guide by a movement gap (BS) and additional openings (LU) allows a calculable passage of gas. A flat spring element (E) is installed in the movement gap and fills out the gap up to a calculated free cross section, and on the other side presses the sealing ring against its axial guide element in a gas tight slidable manner.
