The operating device for an elevator flap (2) installed on the trailing edge of a wing (1) has several extendable box-form telescopic supports (3) with support elements which by one end are connected to the support structure of the wing and by the other end to the elevator flap. A drive unit (8-10) is provided for the retraction and extension of the telescopic supports, and a linkage (14) is coupled to the elevator flap for the angling of the elevator flap.
