Sound proofing mounting (HALT) for the attachment of a fan comprises at least two fastening elements (B1, B2) that are held by matching fastening elements of a fan or mounting device. When mounted the mounting is held between the fan and the mounting device and serves to attach the fan to the mounting device. The mounting and its fastening elements are formed as a single element made from sound proofing material.
