The method for operating the drive train of a motor vehicle that comprises a combustion engine (11) with a turbocharger (12), a clutch (16), a control arrangement (13, 17) and an accelerator pedal (14), whereby when a power increase is requested by the driver pressing the vehicle pedal, to increase the rotation speed of the engine and turbocharger a slip is applied to the clutch for a limited time period, i.e. so that it has different input and output speeds.
