The container for the storing and delivery of deeply frozen or otherwise hazardous liquids such as liquid oxygen has internal and external tanks (39,25) which are rigidly interconnected by retaining components laid pole-side on the longitudinal axis. Support components (S) spaced apart by an air gap and radially supporting each under load are fastened on the inner and outer tank in a position corresponding to retaining arms (31-38), diagonally orientated in a frame, and saddle profiles (27-30). The retaining components safely absorb stresses arising if the internal tank is moved against the support components by the outwards acting forces.
