The device has a flat display unit (DI) with a front side (FR) for the display, a rear wall with at least one opening for a rotary attachment arrangement, a frame for the display unit with a profile that engages around the display unit and at least one mounting element (BF) for fixing between a side (MS) of the display unit and the inside of the frame so that a movable part of the mounting element opposes a corresponding opening in the rear wall. At least one attachment arrangement (S) in the opening is rotated to fix the rear wall (RW) of the display device and the display unit in the frame.
