The circulating air fan consists of a vertical suction tube (4) with a suction funnel (7) fitted at the top end, a fan unit installed in a housing (3). The suction tube is variable in length, whereby it is split into an upper (5) and a lower (6) section with the upper section movable in the lower section. The lower tube section has a clamping device (15) for the stepless adjustment of the overall length of the suction tube. The clamping device consists of two parts in the form of a threaded section and a union nut.
