Fire extinguisher (1) comprises a pressure body (2), and an extinguishing head (3) having an extinguishing agent channel (6) with a valve (7) that is connected to at least one extinguishing agent outlet nozzle (4) and to a riser pipe (8) within the pressure body. At the end lying opposite the extinguishing head the riser pipe is connected via a riser pipe opening to a closed extinguishing agent chamber (16). The extinguishing agent chamber is defined by a membrane (15) surrounding the riser pipe and made of rubber elastic material. The membrane tightly seals the extinguishing agent chamber from the inner surface of the pressure container.
