To coil (12) of proportional electromagnets (10) can be fed variable current, as it is located in magnetisable coil cage (13), through which extends non-magnetic sleeve (14). In sleeve is located axially movable magnet armature (15).Armature is fitted in stationary armature guide (17), carrying coil cage and coil by armature axis (16), i.e. control pin or valve body. Magnetisable control cylinder (18) is in contact with coil cage and extends into sleeve, forming peripheral control edge (19) at armature facing end. In energized state, armature tapering section dips into cylinder. In non-energized state, armature face, opposite cylinder, is spaced from control edge by distance (h), only a fraction of total armature stroke (H).
