The method involves a radio monitoring unit for a radio cell and a radio monitoring unit of the radio cell assigned to a base station. A broadcast message is sent which informs about radio resources reserved for the radio cell. The mobile station receives a broadcast message and on the basis of the message the information about radio resources is selected. The mobile station has a connecting requirement message sent to the base station, with which the structure of a radio link between the base station and the mobile station resources are reserved. A radio link between the base station and the mobile station is selected on the basis of the part of radio resources reserved. An independent claim is included for a communication system.
