Device for detecting electrical activity in a pulseless patient has at least a sensor electrode for measuring an electrical signal, a haemodynamic sensor, and an evaluation unit that generates an output signal via an output stage. The evaluation unit has a QRS detector that evaluates both the electrical signal and the haemodynamic sensor signal. The output stage of the device is connected to the activation circuit of a defibrillator, while the evaluation unit is connected to a speech-input unit.
