The circuit has a current path (6) provided between output terminals (A1, A2). The path is open when an electrical energy is uptaken at an output of the circuit, so that the energy taken up by the terminal (A1) is drained away immediately via the terminal (A2). The current path between the terminals is closed when no uptake of energy is taking place via the output of the circuit, so that the energy is released by the circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method of reducing a leakage power of an amplifier circuit having an output including two output terminals.
