Double-layer wall or roof system made of sheet metal profiles comprises an outer layer (2) consisting especially of trapezoidal profiles (5) that rests on and is connected to the free arm of a C-shaped profile (6) of an inner shell (1) consisting especially of cassette profiles (3, 4) and filled with heat-insulating material (8). A thermal separating profile (9) used for heat insulation of the layers consists of a boom (9a) lying between the bearing surface of the C-shaped profile and the outer layer and an arm (9b) protruding vertically in the direction of the inner layer. The separating profile presses with its free end against the heat-insulating material so that it covers the space (10) enclosed by the C-shaped profile. Preferred Features: The boom is made of an insulating material with good stability.
