The method has a connection between a client and a protected area of a server established by installation of a warden program at the client, used for input of identification data in a protected program module, before removal of the warden program and connection of the client to the server in response to a connection request, with automatic read-out of the identification data for an automatic LOGIN procedure (40), before the connection to the protected area of the server is permitted.
