The stairs (1) have a number of steps (4), and two rear tubes (2) and two front tubes (3) installed on the sides of the steps. The tubes are interconnected by the steps, whereby each connection between one of the steps and the tubes is provided with a step fastening means (21,31) which are fastened on the tube to move along it in any position. Each step fastening means completely encloses the respective tube in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tube. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an assembly kit for a flight of stairs; and (b) a use for an assembly kit which is to build a flight of stairs.
