A non-return valve (18) is provided parallel to the first overflow valve (12). The overflow valve allows the overflowing of air from the first compressed air outlet (21) over the first non-return valve, in the direction of the compressed air inlet (1). A second non-return valve (20) is also provided parallel to the second overflow valve (14). A controllable bypass valve (26,28) is arranged between the second and third compressed air outlet (23) and the compressed air inlet (1). In the open state of bypass valve, air can flow over the non-return valves and the controllable bypass valve, by bypassing the overflow valves (12,14,16) from the first and second compressed air outlets (21,22) to the third compressed air outlet (23). An independent claim is also included for the method of supplying compressed air to commercial vehicle brake system.
