The curtain rail (1) is divided into two segments either with a movable joint inserted between them or with an elastic area (2) facilitating a folding of one half of the rail (3) into an inclined position. The hooks or rings attached to the upper edge of the curtain can be easily moved off or onto the rail (1) without climbing on a ladder or working with raised arms. The outer end of the rail (1) can be fixed to a spring operated locking element (4) located at the frame (8) after completion.
