The ceramic solid electrolyte material has a basic structure made from oxides of a first element and contains no further element to raise the electrical conductivity of the solid electrolyte material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sensor element containing the ceramic solid electrolyte material; and (2) a process for the production of a ceramic solid electrolyte material.
