Roof-top air-conditioning system (4) for a vehicle, especially for a bus, comprises a series of devices subjected in succession to the action of internal coolant and consisting of a high pressure-side heat-exchanger unit with a fan device (16), an expansion device, and an evaporating device. An inner duct arrangement (12) guides air. The high pressure-side heat-exchanger unit with the fan device has a modular construction. Connections for coupling modules (6a, 6b) of the same type can be provided, prepared or formed. The modules are designed for grid-like coupling of modules of the same output and/or of modules of stepped output.
