The engine (1), transmission (2) and drive axle (3) assembly is mounted on a sub-frame (6) at the rear of the vehicle. The sub-frame is mounted on a hinge (4) on a transverse axis midway along the length of the vehicle. Control cables for the engine are led through flexible conduits from the bodywork, which pass close to the hinge.
