The door opener has a locking catch counter-piece (3), a controllable security element (8) for preventing unauthorized opening of the door and an ejector, e.g. a pivoted slider plate (18), for ejecting the locking catch from engagement with the locking catch counter-piece. A transmission element between the latter and the ejector transmits a pivot movement of the locking catch counter-piece, upon movement of the locking catch in the opening direction, to the ejector, in the unlocked position of the door opener.
