In a process to clean a salt water harbour mooring post, the post is surrounded by a cylinder that is lowered around the post with cleaning apparatus e.g. high-pressure water jets (22). The jets attack and remove corrosion deposits and silt (16, 17). After cleaning the mooring post is encased i an anti-corrosion sleeve.
