The valve has at least one ring-form operating device rotatably mounted on a valve housing. An encompassing channel-form grooves (20a,20b,20c) is formed on both end faces of the operating unit and to which correspond respective grooves (21a,21b) in a counter bearing (23,24). Balls (3) are fitted in the channel-form grooves which act as a running track, and at least one counter bearing (24) is detachable and axially adjustable so that the support of the operating device (2a,2b) is through the balls.
