Method for controlling pressure casting processes involving detection of a metal melt contact signal, preferably in a riser tube (sic) of a hot holding furnace (sic), which serves as a starting signal fore metering an amount of metal melt into the casting chamber of a pressure casting machine, where deviations of the metered contact pressure (1) from a rated value are determined and stored and adapted to the casting curve.
