A vibration damped handgrip, e.g. for a power hand tool, has a cylindrical grip (2) with an inner space (4) and incorporating a damping mass (5) held by elastomer dampers (6). The size of the mass is selected to best match the machine and its application. The grip is connected to the machine via an elastomer block (7) and incorporating a second damping mass (8). The elastomer material and the damping masses are selected to dampen a wide range of frequencies with reduced risk of resonance.
