The motor vehicle's air conditioning system (1) has a compressor (3) installed in a refrigerant circuit (2) and driven by the vehicle's engine (4) according to compressor power demand, whereby in parked mode the air conditioning of the motor vehicle and the possibility of cylinder shut-off in the engine is provided. The control characteristic is dependent upon the effective cylinder of the vehicle's engine. A sensor is provided to determine the engine RPM. An independent claim is included for a method for the operating of motor vehicle's air conditioning system.
