A bioreactor comprises a carrier disk (8) to give relative movement between the medium (3) and the biomaterial (2), a holder (7), which the medium can flow through, to contain the biomaterial within the reactor chamber (1) e.g. of borosilicate glass, and valve-type openings (9,10) give a medium flow with a directional alignment.
