The hand lever (40) may be inserted into a diametrical bore in a clutch (27) on each end of a shaft (10,14,15) carrying a pinion (7). Each clutch has a sleeve (30,30') with slots cut in its end which may engage with a diametrically-extending pin in each end of the shaft. Each sleeve fits on a pin on the end of the shaft and is spring-loaded inward toward its engaged position.
