The device has a central unit (2)with at least one tank (3) and a balancing tank (4) and at least one floating hollow body (20) with at least one chamber (22) and a buoyancy chamber (23), whereby at least the chamber is connected to the tank of the central unit by a connecting line system (26). The chamber contains an energy converter (25). The tank, the chamber and the connecting line system are at least partly filled with a working liquid (30). At least one guide element (21) is attached to the hollow body so that it interacts with a guide element (15) suspended at a distance from the central station to enable the hollow body to move along the latter guide element.
