The system has a friction clutch (28) with inlet and outlet openings (32, 34) connected to an input shaft (47) of a gear box. A flywheel arrangement (20) has connection areas (42, 44) to connect itself to the input shaft and the inlet opening. A gap (40) is formed between the connection areas to receive a drive shaft (18) that is positioned crosswise with respect to axis of rotation.
