A bearing support design for a drive shaft (2) into a differential, e.g. for a four wheel drive, has two bearings (6, 7) with one fixed bearing (7) near to the drive pinion (4) into the differential and one axially movable bearing (6) near to the input end of the drive shaft. The fixed bearing comprises a double track bearing with inclined bearing races. The movable bearing has a limited sliding movement.
