The cruise missile is an unmodified weapon for launching from fighter-bomber aircraft, and the booster platform is attached by spigots, hooks, claws, etc. The launch container is held within a firing module where the housing has umbilical cable connections. The booster platform rides on sliding guide rails which have a controlled movement between locked and released settings. Sensors register the positions of the guide rails, and the upper and lower housing covers. The system also has the necessary cables for the control and power functions.
