A flexible solar module is manufactured by the use of crystalline silicon cells (4); the light-transparent covering (1) has on the sun-facing surface molded grooves to form a grid arrangement of thin sites/grooves (2) and on the surface shaded from the sun a number of recesses (3) corresponding in number to the number of cells and with a depth corresponding to the thickness of the cells.
