Valve drive for an internal combustion engine comprises a pneumatic return spring (1) for a gas-exchange valve (2) having a shaft (2') surrounded by a valve spring retainer (3) and a tubular housing (4). The housing has a first opening (4') that can be closed by the valve spring retainer and a second opening (4'') that is closed by the valve shaft, a valve shaft guide (5) and a centering element (6). At the second opening the housing has a radially inward-protruding shoulder (4''') and the centering element is fixed on the valve shaft guide and the shoulder. Preferred Features: The centering element can be removably or irremovably fixed to the valve shaft guide.
