Force sensor, especially for recording the weight force (F) applied to the bracket (17) of a vehicle seat. The sensor comprises a force transfer and mounting element (2, 3) as well as a deformation body (1) held in the mounting element. The force transfer and mounting element has a two- part tubular construction. The first half (2) acts as the force transfer element, while the second half (3) acts as a mounting element. The sensor deformation element is coaxially mounted between the two halves.
